Sapporo Dome is Hokkaido’s biggest concert venue — but there are almost no hotels right by the dome in the Fukuzumi area. The usual approach is to stay in Sapporo Station, Odori or Susukino, all linked to the dome by the Toho subway line, and each full of dining, shopping and sightseeing. Here is how to choose your area, our hotel picks, and how to get there.
📌 Note on the name: under a naming-rights agreement, Sapporo Dome has also been called Daiwa House Premist Dome since August 2024 (through July 2028). Tickets and event listings may use either name — it is the same venue.

Why base yourself downtown?
- Few hotels by the dome. The Fukuzumi area has very limited options.
- One subway line does it. The Toho line connects downtown straight to Fukuzumi.
- Great for winter. Station-side hotels keep the cold walk short.
Getting to Sapporo Dome
- Nearest station: Fukuzumi Station on the Toho subway line — about a 10–15 minute walk to the dome.
- From New Chitose Airport: about 40 minutes by JR rapid to Sapporo Station.
- From Sapporo Station: about 13 minutes to Fukuzumi plus a walk (around 25 minutes total).
- From Susukino (Hosui-susukino): about 11 minutes to Fukuzumi plus a walk.

Tips for booking
- Book as early as possible. City-wide hotels fill up fast on big concert days.
- In winter, choose station-side hotels with a large bath to stay warm.
