IG Arena is Nagoya’s newest large arena, opened in 2025 beside Meijo Park. The venue is right by Meijo-koen subway station, but there aren’t many hotels immediately around it — so most visitors base themselves in Sakae, Hisaya-odori or Kanayama, all connected by the Meijo subway line. Here is how to choose your area, our picks, and how to get there.

Why base yourself on the Meijo line?
- Few hotels at the arena itself. The nearby streets have limited options.
- Avoid transfers. Stations get busy after shows, so a direct line helps.
- Sakae for food, Kanayama for transport.
Getting to IG Arena
- Nearest station: Meijo-koen Station on the Meijo subway line — the arena is roughly 200 m away.
- From Sakae: a few minutes on the Meijo line.
- From Kanayama: direct on the Meijo line, no transfer.
- From Ozone: about 3 minutes direct to Meijo-koen.
- From Chubu Centrair Airport: by Meitetsu toward Nagoya or Kanayama.
Recommended hotels: Sakae and Hisaya-odori

About a 5-minute walk from Hisaya-odori Station, with a large communal bath and free rental bicycles. The arena is a short subway ride (or about a 24-minute walk). Price level: mid-range.
Kuretake Inn Nagoya Hisaya-odori — great value
Includes a free breakfast buffet and an artificial radium hot-spring bath — strong value for a concert trip. Price level: budget.
Best for transport: Kanayama
ANA Crowne Plaza Hotel Grand Court Nagoya
A large hotel in Kanayama with a direct Meijo-line connection, so getting back after the show is smooth. Price level: high-end.
Hidden gem: the Ozone area
When Meijo-koen and Sakae are full, Ozone is a smart fallback — about 3 minutes direct to Meijo-koen on the Meijo line, usually at friendlier prices. Price level: budget to mid-range.
